WHO’S INVOLVED

The Manchester Climate Change Partnership, Agency and Youth Board work together and have specific roles to drive forward Manchester’s climate change commitments.

MANCHESTER CLIMATE CHANGE PARTNERSHIP

Manchester Climate Change Partnership work with Manchester Climate Change Agency and other partners to: ensure the city maintains climate targets aligned to the Paris Agreement; has a robust strategy and Implementation plan to meet those targets; champion the delivery of effective climate action across sectors; engage and influence stakeholders and communities to act; provide evidence based reporting on the city’s progress towards its climate targets and objectives; and help to establish Manchester as a world class city for action on climate change.

MANCHESTER CLIMATE CHANGE AGENCY

Manchester Climate Change Agency are responsible for overseeing and championing climate change action for the city, together with the Manchester Climate Change Partnership.

Manchester Climate Change Agency hold responsibility for producing the Framework on behalf of the Partnership, coordinating activities of the Partnership and providing independent expertise and support to help drive delivery of climate targets across city, as well as delivering programmes to enable Manchester to reach zero carbon.

MANCHESTER CLIMATE CHANGE YOUTH BOARD

Manchester Climate Change Youth Board help Manchester play its full part through networking activities, involvement in and delivery of projects, and by ensuring that Manchester Climate Change Partnership and Agency are doing everything they can to tackle climate change in the city.
